Why Facebook Timeline is fun

One of the entertaining parts of the new Facebook Timeline is how easy it is to go back and re-read status updates from years ago. Even the status updates posted by my daughter when she happened upon a device logged in to my FB account.

For the record, I am still not a pretty prancy pony.

Facebook Timelines Delayed

Media_http7mshcdncomw_xchhp
Although a federal judge has refused to grant a temporary restraining order on Facebook at the request of Timelines.com, a small Chicago company that claims Facebook’s new Timeline feature threatens its business, Facebook has promised to delay a full launch.

They must've seen this coming... I mean, 'timelines.com' would've been something they Googled while coming up with a name for the new user profiles, right?

How many of you have enabled the Timeline feature already through developer access?

Facebook #fail tonight

Facebook "accidentally" enabled email notifications for some users today. Oops. I'm hoping they fix it soon. These emails are getting annoying.

(thanks to Darren for showing me this graphic... No idea who made it, but credit goes to them.)

Facebook Privacy Settings

I'm a self-proclaimed geek, and even I am confused by parts of Facebook. I do like their privacy settings though. I have both professional and personal contacts on my Facebook account, and it's nice to be able to decide who gets to see what. I found a great article about Facebook privacy settings, and wanted to share. It's definitely worth your time to go through your privacy settings and make sure you're not putting too much out there.
