Screen_shot_2010-12-16_at_10

I recently posted my iPod Touch on Craigslist. This was one of the responses I got:

Jose Bold: can i buy

Daniel (me): It's still available. Lat me know if you'd like to take a look at it.

JB: Thanks for your quick response,Am somewhere in Utah trying to connect to a flight to Swindon and the item is meant for a close associate of mine and she is attached to the United State Home office in West Africa in Nigeria and I will be paying you $400USD via paypal for your item including the fee extra for shipping and the troubles, can you
help with the shipping process? You will need to send me your paypal email address so that i can make the payment

D: $400? Seriously? That's awesome! We will actually be able to have a Christmas now!

JB: i will need you to send me your paypal email address so that i can make payment

D: I don't understand, what is paypal?

JB: Setting up an account with paypal is very easy through www.paypal.com at no charges and will only take like 5 mintues to do that and once your account is setup send me your paypal e-mail address and I will effect payment.
Regards

D: I don't really trust online money stuff. Can you send me cash instead?

JB: i can only pay via paypal at the moment

D: I don't think my mom will let me.

JB: why?

D: She says online banking is the devil's business. Told me only to take cash. :(

He didn't respond to that last one. I was hoping to string him along a bit further, but it was fun while it lasted. I can't stand these scammers, so it feels good to know I wasted a little bit of his time.

As a reminder, if you're selling something on Craigslist, cash is king. And only sell locally.

Oh, and if you know anyone that wants to buy a 4th Gen 64GB iPod Touch, send them my way.
