Flock + Foxmarks
Flock has always been a browser that I've really, really wanted to use, but didn't because I couldn't sync my bookmarks between profiles and
computers. I've been using Foxmarks with Firefox for quite
awhile now, and it works perfectly. All my bookmarks, on every computer
I use, on each Firefox profile (one for home and one for work.)
Recently, they updated the Foxmarks plug-in to include Safari, and
started changing the name to Xmarks. So now, bookmarks on Safari and Firefox on each of my computers stay in sync.
I hadn't used Flock in awhile, but I fired it up today just because I
missed it. As usual, I surfed over to Foxmarks to see if they supported
Flock yet. And they do!
So, now the bookmarks on Firefox, Safari, and Flock are all in sync--on every computer I use. Nirvana.
If you don't know what Flock is, check it out. It's basically Firefox
on Social Media Steroids. Drag and drop photos, write blog posts,
upload photos, etc... All in the browser.
Talk about a happy Friday.

Bridgetown Comedy Festival
A few friends and I decided to check out the Bridgetown Comedy Festival last night--mainly because Janeane Garofalo was going to be there. I'm filming parts of the festival today and tomorrow, so last night was really my only time to just go for fun.
It was a great show--all the comics were funny, and I've always loved the Bagdad as a venue.
There's still time to catch a show--check the festival website for a schedule and get your ass out there. I mean, really--who doesn't like to laugh?
Twitter Issues
So I went to Twitter this morning to tweet a thought or two, and was met with the following screen.
Heh... Tweetstorm.
Bachelor Food - Breakfast Burritos
Got this idea from a website, but for the life of me, can't remember which one. If you know, tell me in the comments and I'll give proper credit.
I'm always looking for ways to make cooking easier. Don't get me wrong, I like to do it, but not every day. And I always skip breakfast. The attached PDF shows (in a completely geeky way) how I solved my breakfast problem.

iTunes 8.1
iTunes 8.1 released... I don't have one of the new Shuffles, but if there's a speed improvement, I'm all for it. iTunes was beginning to feel a bit sluggish.
iTunes 8.1 is now faster and more responsive. You will enjoy noticeable improvements when working with large libraries, browsing the iTunes Store, preparing to sync with iPod or iPhone, and optimizing photos for syncing. In addition, iTunes 8.1 provides many other improvements and bug fixes, including: • Supports syncing with iPod shuffle (3rd generation). • Allows friends to request songs for iTunes DJ. • Adds Genius sidebar for your Movies and TV Shows. • Improves performance when downloading iTunes Plus songs. • Provides AutoFill for manually managed iPods. • Allows CDs to be imported at the same sound quality as iTunes Plus. • Includes many accessibility improvements. • Allows iTunes U and the iTunes Store to be disabled separately using Parental Controls. For my fellow Montanans... I was playing around in Illustrator tonight, and ended up with a simple little CafePress shop sporting a few of the designs.

Quiznos: Troubles With Redeeming Quiznos Free Sandwich Coupons
Quiznos: Troubles With Redeeming Quiznos Free Sandwich Coupons.
I printed my Quiznos coupon and headed into my local store to redeem it the other day. I was told the same thing as most of the people commenting on the Consumerist site... "We don't take that coupon." I was hungry, though, so I went ahead and got lunch anyway. As I was paying, the owner asked me how often I ate at Quiznos, and if I lived in the area. He apologized for not being able to take the coupon, and gave me a different one good for chips and a drink with any sandwich purchase... It's only good at that store, and he claims it will never expire. Compared to some peoples' experiences with this coupon, and Quiznos in general, I'd say this particular owner handled the situation pretty well. If nothing else, he retained me as an occasional customer.
The issue, I believe, is that Quiznos corporate is writing checks its franchises can't cash. I'm not sure how the individual franchises are compensated (if at all,) for the freebies, but when businesses all over are struggling to stay afloat, it seems to me they should be focusing more on improved service rather than free sandwiches.

Virtual Bosses
Brown-Nose Your Virtual Boss Without Getting Dirty | NBC Los Angeles .
I do see my boss from time-to-time when I fly back East, but this article had some good pointers. It's easy to feel like you're not part of the community when you work remotely. For the most part, working solo and managing myself is where I thrive--but I actually look forward to the bi-weekly marketing meetings that involve a conference call. It's good to hear voices on the other end and know that even though I don't see any of them on a regular basis, we're all part of the same unit.
Safari 4 Beta

Been playing with the Safari 4 Beta for the past couple of days, and so far I really like it.
They say it processes javascript faster than other browsers, but so far I haven't really noticed a difference. The main problem I've always had with Safari is that after a bit of use, there's a noticeable slowdown. Doesn't seem to happen with Beta 4 so far.
The "Top Sites" feature is similar to Opera's, and I like it. Other than looking cool, it makes it easy for me to hit my favorite sites without digging through my bookmarks.
I'm not sure I like the fact that tabs are now located at the top of the window--I find myself switching tabs when really all I want to do is change window focus.
Overall, I like it... I'll need to do some more exploring though.
